This week I decided to go to an art museum called Vordun. The place showed just how much effort can someone put in constructing a detailed landmark.
Everything was exactly similar to a standard real museum (would be little disappointing for people who like fantasy side of SL). Anyways, from the moment I entered the place there was a constant message which insisted on getting a headphone. So I did. I did not hear a single thing though. This may be due to my lack of knowledge so we could go to the place in class and see if it works for you guys.
There also other visitors there (I was more interested in communicating than in exploring the place, as always!).
For the first time in my "Second Life" life (see what I did there?! :D) I encountered a family.I heard people would start relationship and stuff in SL, but going to a museum holding babies and enjoying family time was a new level to watch.
So I started to talk to them (I feel like all of us have become less shy and more communicative through this semester). They did not look like an expected (real life) family... however, the couple had normal conversations about deciding where to visit next and their plans for the rest of the day.
Second Life is going on surprising me every time I visit and that is why I like it so much!
I mean where on earth would you see people like that (picture above) holding creepy babies and just discussing their pretty normal plans for rest of the day???
Ok now....back to the place itself. I loved it. There was a room full of random postcards from people saying about themselves.when you clicked on them you could observe them closely.
Another hall was dedicated to Asian art which was pretty good.Again I insist on going on a tour to Vordun during class and explore that place together.
